I didn’t have a website.
I didn’t have a logo, a fancy funnel, a social media presence, or a backup plan.
What I did have was a body in burnout, a relationship on the brink, and a quiet, unshakeable whisper telling me:
This isn’t working. You have to leave.
And so I did.
The Breaking Point
I had spent years climbing ladders, managing teams, creating strategies, and delivering results. From the outside, I looked like I had it all together.
But inside? I was unraveling.
My health was suffering. I have Hashimoto’s and hypothyroidism, and when I’m under chronic stress, my body lets me know—fast.
Hair falling out. Brain fog. Itchy skin. Gut issues. Exhaustion that no amount of coffee could fix.
And beyond the physical symptoms was something harder to name: a deep, heavy sadness. A grief for the life I wasn’t living.
I was working like crazy. And even though I loved what I did, it was consuming me.
The truth?
I had built a version of success that required me to trade my joy, health, and presence for a paycheck.
Something had to give. So I left.
The Leap (Without a Net)
I probably jumped faster than I should have. I didn’t have a detailed business plan. I didn’t have a brand guide or a team or even a business card.
But I had something else:
A deep belief in freedom.
A knowing that we are not here to live in survival mode.
And a flicker of faith that I could figure it out.
I started by getting quiet. I meditated. I journaled. I asked my higher self for guidance.
And then, I took action.
The Power of Connection
I made a list of the people I called my “super-connectors”—those incredible humans who always seem to know everyone. I reached out with a clear message about who I helped and how.
I niched down quickly to what I knew best: helping heart-centered entrepreneurs with their sales systems and processes.
After a few intentional lunches and coffee dates, I met someone who changed everything. She was a business coach who didn’t love teaching sales—and suddenly, I was her missing piece.
She brought me into her masterminds. I became the go-to sales expert for her clients.
And just like that, I had a five-figure coaching business. Then, a six-figure coaching business.
No website. No ads. No social media strategy.
Just service. Simplicity. And relationships.
What I Had (and What I Didn’t)
Here’s what I did have:
-
A Google Doc outlining my packages
-
A payment link
-
A calendar system
-
Client notes saved in folders
-
A whole lot of heart
I didn’t complicate it. I didn’t wait until everything was perfect. I started with what I had.
And that’s one of my core values—simplicity.
I believe some of life’s greatest joys are simple:
The smell of a rose after rain.
The sound of a bird’s wings flapping nearby.
Your child’s stories in the car after school.
The moment a client has an insight that shifts everything.
These are the moments I live for. And I wanted a business that made space for more of them.
My Core Beliefs (That Guided the Way)
I believe in freedom.
If something isn’t working, you get to change it.
I believe in family.
I’ve always wanted to be the one who drops off and picks up my kids. The magic is in the everyday moments—and I refuse to miss them.
I believe in service.
Every business I’ve ever started has been built on the foundation of helping others.
I believe in intuition.
You already know what’s right for you—you just have to be quiet enough to hear it.
I believe in trusting yourself, even when your knees are shaking.
I believe overwhelm is a choice.
When I catch myself in it, I pause, take a breath, and repeat my mantra: Strategy over emotions.
And I believe in taking action.
Confidence is not something you wait for. It’s something that arrives after you move.
Identity Work Is the Real Work
What most people don’t talk about when they start a business is the identity work that happens behind the scenes.
When I left my job, I didn’t just change what I did. I had to change who I believed myself to be.
I had to let go of the “struggling coach” story.
I had to quiet the voice that said, “Why would anyone hire you? You don’t even have a website.”
I had to become the kind of woman who trusted herself enough to lead others—even when things weren’t perfect.
That’s what I want for you, too.
If You’re Standing at the Edge
If you’re in burnout right now…
If you’re craving a business that nourishes your life instead of draining it…
If you want to do meaningful work without sacrificing your health, your joy, or your family—
Then I want to invite you to something special.
Join me for Rise of the Soul-Led Coach—a free 3-day experience for health and life coaches who are ready to build a real business, without relying on trends, burnout, or doing it all alone.
Because you don’t need a perfect website to change someone’s life.
You don’t need a million followers to get paid.
You don’t need to do it the way everyone else says you “should.”
You just need to begin—with what you have, where you are, and who you’ve always been.
Let’s rise together.
